Designslices is a collaborative playground opened for anyone who surf or creates the world of design on the web. Our common aim is to find cool stuff and share it in one place. If you think you can join us as an author please feel free to request an invitation here. In case you just want to promote your stuff and nothing else or even you don't want to be invited just drop a line about your work here. As an invited author you can promote yourself and your personal design achievements but note that we have a special system called:

Crap-o-meter

A system that moderates incoming content by next simple guides

• No direct and hidden advertisement is allowed
• No promotion of stuff containing illegal activity, pornography and other obscene materials
• No promotion of any commercial or proprietary products that even doesn't fit design area
• No posting of weak visuals and 90ss homepages

Also system analyze readers feedbacks and votes then make decisions to demote content without announcements.

Content

As you see we have 3 types of content:

• Slice - any cool design site or whatever related to design world
• Video - your design favourite videos, please don't post ads
• Event - any design events, competitions, contests, openings with start and/or end dates.

Note that you can post only 1 Event, 2 Slices and 2 Videos per day.
Also you won't be able to edit posted content until you promoted to Editor role. In case of typos please use site feedback form.

Points

Designslices has a system of points that granted to you upon your activity. Any post gives you 5 points and a good comment - 1 point.
When you get 100 points we will grant your an Editor role and you will able to edit/post/manage any activities on a site and will have another quota over daily posts quantity.

Favourites

As an author you can store as many favourites slices as you want. Just use link "fave this" below each slice and it will appears in your "My Favourites" page (link can be found in top navigation)

Penalties

Designslices has no system of penalties but if your post demoted than it makes sense and can lead to account ban.

Report content

As an author you can report content in case it have not passed Crap-o-meter well or it just duplicated. Please use "report this" link at the bottom of each slice.
